Overview

The second edition after the 2024 revival took place in November 2025 and confirmed the success of the comeback. Again, around 36 exhibitors, the Kellerjungs as the musical highlight, and the family programme were central. The response from the cross-border audience from Selfkant and Dutch Limburg remains strong.

The 2025 edition paved the way for the sustainable re-establishment of the market. Yvonne Engert and Simon Lenz successfully continued the private initiative without commercial subsidies. The Municipality of Selfkant confirmed its support for 2026, guaranteeing electricity, traffic, and safety logistics. Around 36 exhibitors from Selfkant, the Heinsberg district, and the nearby Dutch province of Limburg presented handicrafts, honey, cheese, Advent wreaths, and mulled wine. The Kellerjungs and Saate Harmonie played to a full house on Saturday evening. Families from Höngen, Tüddern, Höngen-Süsterseel, and the nearby Dutch towns of Sittard and Susteren made the Lambertusmarkt a cross-border meeting point for the region.

Programme

The 2025 programme followed the established format: Saturday afternoon/evening with a Kellerjungs concert, Sunday morning/afternoon with a family programme.
