The 35th Lachmesse Leipzig took place in late October 2025. Eight days of cabaret and performance art in 14 Leipzig venues, featuring the traditional opening event “Die Wörter der Sachsen,” the awarding of the Leipziger Löwenzahn to Michael Krebs, and performances by numerous German-speaking cabaret stars.

In October/November 2025, the 35th Lachmesse once again transformed Leipzig's cabaret stages into the heart of German-speaking performance art. Over 90 ensembles from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland offered eight days of programming with premieres, guest performances, and special formats.
The opening at academixer with “Die Wörter der Sachsen” traditionally set the humorous Saxon tone, the awarding of the Leipziger Löwenzahn to Michael Krebs honored an exceptional cabaret year, and subsequent days featured premieres of new shows and performances by established artists.
