Overview
71st International Short Film Festival Oberhausen 2025: first under the new co-direction Bernstorff/Pollheim, with five competitions at Lichtburg and other Oberhausen venues.
The 71st edition marked the beginning of the new festival leadership. As usual, there were five competition sections (international, German, NRW, children/youth, MuVi), thematic programs, and retrospectives. In 2025, around 700 international guests attended, and the awards ceremony took place as tradition dictates at the Lichtburg.
