Ninth edition of the big Wolfsburg Children's Saturday with free hands-on activities, mascot parade, club stage, and charity raffle
The Kunterbunter Kindersamstag (Colourful Children's Saturday) is entering its ninth edition on April 25, 2026. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the central Porschestraße will transform into a large hands-on zone for children and families. Free activities — bouncy castles, a roller slide, a climbing tower, and a mascot parade — will fill the pedestrian zone.
Wolfsburg clubs, a puppet theatre, and small show formats will be presented on stage. A charity raffle will support the Wolfsburg Women's Shelter. The organizer is Wolfsburg Marketing GmbH (WMG).
Since 2017, the Kunterbunter Kindersamstag has been a firm fixture in Wolfsburg's event calendar and is one of the city's most popular family events. The concept is consistently accessible: free admission, all hands-on activities free of charge, central city location, short distances, and a warm, colourful atmosphere.
The focus is on the free activity areas: several bouncy castles, a roller slide, a climbing tower, and stations from various Wolfsburg clubs and initiatives. Sports, music, dance, and craft activities complement each other. Children can move from station to station, while parents can find seating and refreshments.
One of the hallmarks is the Mascot Parade featuring princesses, superheroes, and film characters. On stage, Wolfsburg clubs will perform — from karate demonstrations and dance groups to choirs — rounded off by a puppet theatre. The programme is structured to be family-friendly, with short performances and plenty of breaks for participation.
A charity raffle is a regular feature. The proceeds traditionally benefit the Wolfsburg Women's Shelter — an important social gesture that elevates the Children's Saturday beyond mere family entertainment.
The central Porschestraße is Wolfsburg's main pedestrian zone. Restaurants, ice cream parlours, toy shops, and cafés are right in the middle of the action. The event benefits from the typical Saturday footfall and, in turn, drives additional visitors to the city centre.
The ninth edition of the Kunterbunter Kindersamstag will take place on April 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the central Porschestraße. Free hands-on activities, a mascot parade, a club stage, and a charity raffle will fill the day.
The complete programme for 2026 will be published by WMG shortly before the date. The structure will follow the proven cornerstones of previous years: opening in the morning, mascot parade at midday, club performances in the afternoon, and puppet theatre.
Opening in the late morning, mascot parade around midday, stage programme by clubs in the afternoon, puppet theatre in between. The hands-on stations are freely accessible throughout the entire period.
