Edition 2025 — Kunstklärwerk Open-Air
In 2025, the Kunstklärwerk Open-Air Festival did not yet exist in its festival form. The Atelier Kunstklärwerk in Stadtlohn was used by Norbert and Julian Then for smaller cultural events; the idea for its own open-air festival was developed during the year, culminating in the premiere announced for 2026.
The Kunstklärwerk Open-Air Festival is a new creation for the 2026 season — there were no previous festival editions under this name. The atelier space, which now serves as the venue, was still an internal creative space for brothers Norbert and Julian Then in 2025.
With the premiere announced for early July 2026 and the open-air stage element built from a straw wagon, Kunstklärwerk opens its doors to a wider audience for the first time — and simultaneously introduces itself as a new event location in the western Münsterland cultural landscape.
