The 2025 Kunigundenfest honored the diocese's founder, Saint Kunigunde, with three days of liturgies, lectures, and events in Bamberg Cathedral and the diocese. The Archdiocese of Bamberg remained the organiser, with the programme guided by the festival's motto of the time, delving into various facets of the holy empress's life and work.
As in previous years, the 2025 Kunigundenfest took place as a three-day festival organised by the Archdiocese of Bamberg. Solemn masses in Bamberg Cathedral, lectures on topics from church, history, and social responsibility, concerts with the Bamberg Cathedral Choir, and smaller workshops formed the programme.
The respective annual motto structured the themes of the lectures and events. Venues included the Cathedral, the Diocesan Museum, and various parish communities within the diocese.
