The 2025 edition once again showed why the Ruhrfestspiele opening on May 1st is one of the most defining cultural events in the Ruhr area. The combination of classical music, literature, trade union demonstration, and family program has once again proven its worth. International gastronomy and the sustainable reusable system have definitively established themselves as permanent fixtures.
