Overview

The Kulturgarten Open Air 2025 took place on the Whitsun weekend in the Kulturgarten Themar — three festival days of Punk, Hardcore, and Ska-Punk with around 500 visitors and a line-up of established names from the German-speaking scene and international guests. The politically and socially committed festival has established itself as a firm fixture in the Central German Punk landscape.

Kulturgarten Open Air 2025 in Themar

In 2025, the Kulturgarten at the Rasenmühle in Themar once again transformed into a festival with sold-out camping on the Whitsun weekend. Punk, Hardcore, and Ska-Punk on stage, vegan and vegetarian stalls, political info tables, and a packed weekend programme. The family atmosphere with a 500-visitor limit, the clear political stance against racism and right-wing extremism, and the support from Radio Bob! and Ox-Fanzine made the festival a central meeting point for the German-speaking alternative music scene again in 2025.
