Overview

The 18th edition of Kuki – Young Short Film Festival Berlin took place in 2025 in three Berlin cinemas. As in previous years, with age-appropriate programme blocks, school screenings, a public family programme, and international short films in their original language. Organiser: Interfilm Berlin Management GmbH.

The 2025 edition continued the established festival format. From the annual approx. 800 international submissions, the festival team curated programme blocks according to age groups and thematic lines. School screenings were again the quantitative focus; the public family programme on weekends and evenings complemented the offering.

With its 18th edition, Kuki prepared for its anniversary year 2027 (20 years of the festival) while strengthening its position as the most important German short film festival for children and young people.
