The 66th Kreisschützenfest of the Büren District Association of Marksmen took place in 2025 in another location within the former Büren district. Meanwhile, Salzkotten was preparing for the 67th edition in 2026 — the 4th time the event would be held in the town.
The Kreisschützenfest changes its venue every few years within the former Büren district. Preparations in Salzkotten were already in full swing in 2025, with public meetings, working groups, and the determination of the motto.
