In 2025, the Aubstädter Musikanten performed as a traveling band at various district music festivals and association events in Unterfranken. The role of hosting the district music festival in their own town follows in 2026, so no KMF took place in Aubstadt itself in 2025.
In 2025, the Aubstädter Musikanten e.V. were invited as guest bands to several association festivals in Unterfranken and used the year, among other things, to prepare for their own Kreismusikfest in 2026. In 2025, other bands were assigned as hosts for the NBMB festivals.
In the Franconian brass band scene, such a preparation phase is common: the organizing committee plans over several years, secures a festival caterer and tent construction, applies to the NBMB in good time for official allocation, and organizes an extensive network of helpers and sponsors within their own community.
