Overview

The Kommern Kirmes & Handwerkermarkt 2025 took place in October, as is traditional on the 3rd weekend of October. Kirmesknochen excavation on Friday and craft market on the weekend characterized the proven two-part program. Eifel folk fair tradition with Kirmesknochen excavation and craft market at Arenbergplatz. The two-part format combined customs and craftsmanship in the Kommern village center.

The 2025 edition continued the Eifel tradition. Kirmesknochen ritual on Friday, craft market on Saturday and Sunday in Kommern.

Friday 7 PM Kirmesknochen excavation as a traditional Eifel ritual, followed by a disco evening for the younger generation. Saturday and Sunday 11 AM–6 PM craft market with glassblowers, basket weavers, woodturners, potters, and blacksmiths. Eifel gastronomy with regional specialties like Reibekuchen, Eifeler Mettwurst, wood-fired bread, and ham. Sunday musical program by local clubs and wreath laying ceremony.
