Overview

The sixth edition of Koggethon took place on June 20 and 21, 2025, in the cog hall of the German Maritime Museum Bremerhaven. Pupils from grade 10 onwards, students, and citizens jointly programmed prototypes related to maritime and cultural themes for an entire night.

The 2025 edition of Koggethon brought informatics enthusiasts together for an entire night on June 20 and 21 in the cog hall of the German Maritime Museum. Under the direction of the Informatics department at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, participants worked in teams on digital solutions that make cultural content accessible. The unique atmosphere right next to the medieval Bremen cog is one of the hallmarks of the event, which has established itself as a fixture in the North German informatics and STEM scene since its inception.
