Edition 2025 — Königshain Medieval Spectacle
In 2025, the Königshain quarry was once again transformed into a lively medieval marketplace. Knights, jesters, and craftsmen populated the grounds, and the connection typical of Königshain between natural scenery and granite tradition once again made the spectacle a highlight of spring in Upper Lusatia.
The 2025 edition adhered to the proven concept: knights' tournaments, a market with craftsmen and food stalls, musical entertainment, and the stonemason demonstration in the quarry. Families, couples, and history enthusiasts from Saxony and the adjacent Lusatia region took advantage of the mild spring weather for a visit.
As in previous years, mead taverns, acrobats, and the main wooden stage characterized the spectacle — framed by the impressive granite walls of the quarry.
