Edition 2025 — Kocherlball

The Kocherlball 2025 took place on July 20, 2025, at the Chinese Tower in the English Garden. As every year, thousands of dancers gathered from six in the morning for Ländler, Zwiefacher, Polka, and Waltz — many in traditional dress, all eager for folk dance and a Bavarian breakfast.

In 2025, the Kocherlball was once again one of the most attended traditional events of the Munich summer. Dance instructors and folk musicians led dances for four hours continuously, and the beer garden served ox rolls, Obatzda, and pretzels. Since its revival in 1989 for the 200th anniversary of the English Garden, the ball has become one of Munich's most defining summer traditions and remains — despite growing crowds — freely accessible. The 2025 edition concluded at ten in the morning, flowing seamlessly into the Frühschoppen.
