The 19th edition of klub katarakt ran from January 22 to 25, 2025, in the halls of Kampnagel. Four days of wandering concerts, retrospectives, international guests from the independent scene, and a Long Night. Programmatic focuses included deep tones, string quartet avant-garde, and electroacoustic solo sets.
klub katarakt 2025 – 19th Edition
From January 22 to 25, 2025, klub katarakt took place for the 19th time at Kampnagel. The festival maintained its established format of simultaneously used halls, wandering concerts, and a Long Night on Saturday evening.
The program featured composers from the international new music scene, complemented by acts from the Hamburg improvisation scene and electroacoustic solo evenings. As every year, the festival combined classical chamber music formats with sound installations and experimental electronics.
The 2025 edition also laid the groundwork for the more elaborate anniversary program in 2026, when klub katarakt will be extended to five performance days for the first time.
