Looking Back at 2025
The 68th edition of the Klever Lichterfest took place in September 2025, as is traditional, in the Forstgarten Kleve. Hundreds of candles and light installations transformed the historic baroque garden into an illuminated stage. Live music on several stages accompanied the evening, and culinary stands offered food and drinks. The evening traditionally culminated in the grand baroque fireworks display around 10:00 PM, which bathed the sky above Kleve and the Schwanenburg castle in color.
Free admission. As in previous years, the Lichterfest attracted tens of thousands of visitors from the western Lower Rhine, Münsterland, and the neighboring Dutch provinces — one of the largest free city festivals in the region.
