Edition 2025 — Kite Days Maxipark

The 29th Kite Days took place in September 2025 at Maximilianpark Hamm. With mostly favourable winds, kite enthusiasts from all over Germany and the Netherlands flew their creations over the meadow by the Glass Elephant. The format once again confirmed its status as the most important kite festival in the eastern Ruhr area.

The 2025 edition of the Kite Days once again attracted thousands of visitors to Maximilianpark Hamm. On the meadow by the Glass Elephant, the sky filled with kites of all sizes — from acrobatic stunt kites to Chinese silk constructions with long tails.

The Drachenfreunde Hamm e.V. and Maximilianpark Hamm GmbH once again confirmed the importance of the format after the event and immediately announced the 30th anniversary edition for 2026, which is expected to offer the most extensive programme to date.
