Edition 2025 — Kirnitzschtalfest
The Kirnitzschtalfest took place in 2025 on July 26 and 27, returning to the event calendar after a break as 'perhaps the most beautiful summer festival in the region'. Seven venues between Bad Schandau and Ottendorf, connected by the Kirnitzschtalbahn and shuttle trams. Program: Live music, theater readings, acrobatics, regional specialties, and family program.
Kirnitzschtalfest 2025 — Return After a Break
After a break in events, the Kirnitzschtalfest returned in 2025 with its proven format: a festival mile along the valley, concerts and theater performances at several stations, and historic trams as shuttles. The town of Sebnitz, the tourism association, and the RVSOE transport company cooperated on traffic logistics and program coordination.
Popular program highlights in 2025 included: the waterfall spectacle at Lichtenhainer Waterfall, the vintage bus «Rose von Sebnitz», and the market square at the tram depot with a model railway exhibition and children's program. The organizers recorded good visitor numbers and announced the continuation in 2026.
