Overview
The Kirmes Schönau an der Hörsel 2025 took place in September on the Schönau festival grounds. Three days of festivities with dance evenings, a «Frühschoppen», a children's fair, and the humorous Kirmesbeerdigung (fair funeral) on Sunday evening characterized the village festival. The organizer, as every year, was the Kirmesgesellschaft Schönau a.d. Hörsel e.V. in the Wartburgkreis.

As every year, the Schönau festival grounds transformed into the venue for the Kirmes in September 2025. Live music, dance evenings, Sunday morning «Frühschoppen», children's fair in the afternoon, and the traditional Kirmesbeerdigung on Sunday evening — a schedule that has been maintained for decades and holds the village life of this small district of Wutha-Farnroda together.
