Overview

As every year, the people of Worzeldorf celebrated their traditional district Kirchweih on Friedrich-Overbeck-Straße in 2025. For five days, the Kärwabaum, festival tent, amusement rides, and local organizers enlivened the festival grounds in southern Nuremberg. Franconian catering and dance music in the festival tent characterized the typical Kirchweih weekend.

The 2025 edition of the Worzeldorf Kärwa continued the series of annual district Kirchweihen in Nuremberg. As with around 40 other Nuremberg Kärwa dates taking place between April and September within the city limits, residents and guests gathered on the festival grounds for the typical Franconian mix of festival tent, catering, and showman attractions.

The Kärwa remains one of the most important social meeting points in the Worzeldorf district, the former Franconian village incorporated into Nuremberg in 1923. Generations meet here—a tradition that has remained remarkably vibrant in the shadow of the big city.
