Overview

From August 15 to 18, 2025, Wolframs-Eschenbach traditionally celebrated its Kirchweih weekend. Opening concert and beer tapping on Friday, raising of the Kerwabuam pole on Saturday, vintage car rally and church market on Sunday, family afternoon and cult fireworks by Franz Rathgeber on Monday marked the Kerwa. Local clubs and the volunteer fire department supported the festival, which once again drew tens of thousands of visitors to the medieval town in the Franconian Lake District in 2025.

The 2025 Kerwa in Wolframs-Eschenbach followed its decades-long established schedule: kick-off with an opening concert, procession, and beer tapping on Friday evening, pole raising on Saturday, festive church service and vintage car rally on Sunday, family afternoon and grand fireworks on Monday evening. In the festival tent by the pond, party bands entertained the guests, while the Church Market around the Liebfrauenmünster brought crafts and culinary delights to the old town. The festival once again confirmed its status as one of Middle Franconia's special Kerwa destinations – even under challenging conditions, with a brief power outage that forced organizers to improvise.
