Overview

The Wetzendorfer Kirchweih 2025 took place as usual at the beginning of July at the festival grounds on Wetzendorfer Strasse. Four days of festivities with beer tapping, Kirchweihbaum erection, Knoblauchsländer Musikanten, and Betzentanzen — the typical Franconian district Kerwa, organized by the Nuremberg City Property Management Department together with the Wetzendorfer Kirchweihburschen.

Wetzendorfer Kerwa 2025

The 2025 edition followed the proven format of the Wetzendorf district Kirchweih. At the festival grounds on Wetzendorfer Strasse, a beer tent, amusement rides, and stalls were set up. The Wetzendorfer Kirchweihburschen retrieved the Kirchweihbaum on Saturday, and on Sunday, the Knoblauchsländer Musikanten under Georg Pfann performed.

The traditional Betzentanz on Monday evening concluded the Kerwa as every year in a cheerful and convivial Wetzendorf atmosphere — a small but fine Franconian Kirchweih that has retained its village character in the middle of the big city of Nuremberg.
