Overview

Kirchweih Weihenzell 2025 took place from July 25 to 28. For four days, the mayor's beer tapping, the Kirchweihbaum, the festival church service in St. Jakob's Church, and dance bands in the Rösch family's festival tent shaped the event. With the Rothsee Musikanten, the Hettstädter Musikanten, and the band Pipeline, the Middle Franconian Kerwa tradition remained alive.

Kirchweih Weihenzell 2025 was celebrated from July 25 to 28, 2025. As usual, on Friday evening, Mayor Gerhard Kraft opened the festival with the beer tapping, after the rural youth had entered the Rösch family's festival tent.

On Saturday afternoon, the traditional Kirchweihbaum parade took place, and at 3:00 PM, the tree was erected on the village square. The Rothsee Musikanten and the Hettstädter Musikanten provided dancing atmosphere on the evenings, and on early Monday, the band Pipeline played. The festival church service on Sunday at 10:15 AM in St. Jakob's Church was led by Pastor Randolf Herrmann, musically accompanied by the brass band. Rural youth games, the senior citizens' afternoon, and continuous carousel operation rounded off the program.
