Overview

The Uttenreuther Kerwa 2025 was celebrated at the end of September at the festival grounds 'am Schlössla' — four days of 'Kesselfleisch-Frühschoppen', beer tapping by the mayor, raising of the 'Kerwabaum' by the 'Kirchweihburschen', parade, 'Kerwapaartanz' (dance of the festival couples), and amusement mile with 'Schiffschaukel' (swing boat ride) and carousels on Sägmüllerstraße. A classic Franconian folk festival Kerwa in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district.

Already in 2025, the 'Kirchweihburschen' of Uttenreuth invited to the traditional Kerwa on the fourth weekend of September. With a festival tent at 'Schlössla', a long parade on Sunday, live music, and classic Franconian festival foods (roast pork, pork stew, 'Kärwabier' - festival beer), the event attracted visitors from all over Middle Franconia.

The Uttenreuther Kerwa is one of the major folk festivals in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district and is part of a dense Kerwa calendar, where almost every municipality in the ERH district has its own date.
