Edition 2025 — Kirchweih Holzkirchen
The Kirchweih of SV Holzkirchen 2025 was celebrated as every year at the beginning of November in Holzkirchen, a district of the Ries municipality of Wechingen. For four days, the sports club and the parish jointly opened their clubhouse to the village community and guests from the Nördlinger Ries — festive church service, dance evening, Frühschoppen, and club catering were included as always.
In 2025, SV Holzkirchen once again invited to the traditional Kirchweih. For four days, the clubhouse in the Holzkirchen district was the center of the village community. The program followed the usual course of a Swabian Kerwa: festival opening on Friday evening, club evening on Saturday, festive church service and Frühschoppen on Sunday, and farewell party on Monday.
The Kirchweih in Holzkirchen is part of a dense Kerwa autumn in the Nördlinger Ries — many clubs and parishes in the Donau-Ries district celebrate their own patronage festivals during these weeks.
