Overview

The 2025 Kerwa in Pilgerndorf followed the classic pattern from Thursday, June 19th (Corpus Christi) to Monday, June 23rd. The erection of the Kirchweih tree, a festive service, inn evenings and the festival Monday with the 'Auspflanzen' marked the four-day village Kerwa in the Franconian Switzerland – organised as always by the village community with the Pilgerndorf inn.

Whit Sunday 2025 was on June 8th, Corpus Christi was on June 19th – the Pilgerndorf Kerwa traditionally followed Corpus Christi. The young men erected the Kirchweih tree on the festival evening, and several festival evenings with dance music took place at the inn over the weekend.

As every year, the Kerwa attracted guests from the surrounding villages of Hollfeld, Drosendorf, Stechendorf and from the wider Bayreuth district. The four-day festival sequence ended on Kirwa Monday with the classic dismantling of the Kirchweih tree.
