Overview

The Grafenwiesen Kirchweih 2025 followed the traditional pattern: Kirtabaum raising on the Saturday before Trinity Sunday, Parish Festival on Sunday in the Kurpark. The "Regentaler" costume club and the FFW brass band shaped the festival events as they have for generations.

In 2025, the residents of Grafenwiesen and their guests once again experienced the traditional Kirchweih customs with the Kirtabaum parade, its erection using muscle power, and subsequent historical dances by the youth of the costume club. The Parish Festival on Sunday in the Kurpark – with a festive church service, a morning pint, and Bavarian inn cuisine – concluded the weekend.

Such festival traditions are what truly define customs: not a staged event for tourists, but an intergenerational rhythm that supports a community's sense of identity. The Kirtabaum, which remains standing until the end of September, is the most visible symbol of this.
