Overview

The Gerolfingen Kirchweih 2025 took place, as every year, in October — festival service in the Aufkirchen parish church with brass choir, church tour, parish hall program, and Franconian Schlachtschüssel festival week in the local inns at the foot of the Hesselberg.

The Gerolfingen Kirchweih 2025 proceeded in the usual Middle Franconian style: festival service on Sunday with brass choir, followed by a church tour of the house of worship, coffee and cake in the parish hall. The local inns offered their classic Kirchweih menus throughout the festival week, especially the Franconian Schlachtschüssel.

The Hesselberg-Kärwa tradition remains one of the most authentic in Middle Franconia — far from mass crowds and festival tent spectacles, but with real community life and culinary tradition. A Kirchweih as it used to be everywhere.

Prices

Free admission, Schlachtschüssel and meals at usual pub prices.
