Overview

The Kirchweih Birkach 2025 followed the usual pattern, organized by the organizing duo of the Birkach Volunteer Fire Department and the Church Building Association on the last weekend of September. The schedule was as usual: raising of the Kirchweih tree on festival Saturday, Kirchweih church service and Frühschoppen on Sunday, Franconian specialties, and a family program. The event has followed the same rhythm, cherished by the village, for years.

The 2025 edition of the Kirchweih Birkach (Frensdorf) followed the classic Upper Franconian Kirchweih schedule, as established in this village: raising of the Kirchweih tree on festival Saturday at 2 PM, followed by coffee, cake, and Krapfen, as well as grilled mackerel in the evening. Kirchweih church service on festival Sunday at 9 AM and Frühschoppen until 1 PM. Pork knuckles, chicken, and spareribs on festival Monday.

Organized by the tried-and-tested duo of the Birkach Volunteer Fire Department and the Church Building Association, 2025 was once again a well-attended, family-friendly village festival — regular visitors from Birkach itself, neighboring Frensdorf, and the surrounding Steigerwald villages found their way to the festival tent.
