Overview

Following its successful revival in 2023, 2025 saw another regular edition of the Kirchhellener Schützenfest — again a four-day program with festival commemoration, parade, bird shooting, and Brezelfest as the festive conclusion. The Allgemeine Bürger-Schützengesellschaft Kirchhellen thus consolidated the tradition after the six-year break. Highlights in 2025 included the Sunday parade with high participation from the district's clubs and the traditional Brezelfest on Tuesday.

Schützenfest 2025 — Consolidation After the Return

2025 marked the consolidation of the tradition after its revival in 2023. The Allgemeine Bürger-Schützengesellschaft Kirchhellen once again proved that the Schützenfest is a firm fixture in Bottrop's northern calendar. The parade on Sunday, the bird shooting on Monday, and the Brezelfest on Tuesday were held with high participation from the local population.

The positive reception of the 2025 edition and the active participation in the practice shoots directly led to the planning of the 2026 edition with a strengthened position in Bottrop's event calendar.
