Overview

The Kirchheimer Kerwe 2025 took place on the second weekend of September at the Kerweplatz Hegenichstraße in the usual three-day format. The Kirchheim District Association organized catering by local clubs, live music, and a family program — a recurring district Kirchweih tradition in Heidelberg's festival calendar.

Heidelberg District Kirchweih Tradition

The Kirchheimer Kerwe is one of Heidelberg's established district festivals. In the cycle of Heidelberg's district Kerwen — from Hendsemer Kerwe in June to Neckarfest Wieblingen in September — Kirchheim holds its firm place in the second half of September.

In 2025, the Kerwe again attracted families and district residents from Kirchheim, Rohrbach, Bergheim, and Heidelberg's southern districts. The combination of club catering, live music, and a manageable festival area at the Kerweplatz makes the format a local success recipe — a real district Kirchweih, not an interchangeable large event.
