Overview
In 2025, the summer children's festival at Ebersburg once again attracted numerous families from the Southern Harz and the Nordhausen district to the historic castle ruins. With archery, knight games, sack races, and medieval crafts, the association for living Middle Ages created a lively weekend around the keep.
The 2025 edition offered the usual family program with archery, wooden sword fights, sack races, and craft stations. Stick bread and stew were prepared over an open fire, and the association presented masonry work and guided visitors around the castle plateau. As every year, the entrance donations went towards the preservation of the site – a successful example of how volunteer work and family entertainment can go hand in hand.
