Edition 2025 — Kettwiger Sommerfest

The Kettwig Sommerfest 2025 transformed the old town into a summery festival zone for three days with a wine garden, live music, and stalls. A proven format by the Heimat- und Verkehrsverein Kettwig. A successful district festival format with a wine garden, live music on several stages, traders, and a children's program in the historic half-timbered old town of southern Essen. The Heimat- und Verkehrsverein Kettwig has maintained the tradition for years.

The 2025 edition continued the Kettwig Summer Festival tradition. Wine garden, several stages, traders, and a children's program in the historic half-timbered old town.

Marktplatz, Bürgermeister-Fiedler-Platz, and Märchenbrunnenplatz were the venues. The characteristic open-air wine garden with selected wines was also a draw in 2025. Acoustic sets in the afternoon, cover bands in the evening, children's attractions on Sunday, Kettwig restaurateurs offering classic Volksfest dishes. The district's atmosphere south of the Ruhr made the festival a popular destination from the Bergisches Land and Düsseldorf region in 2025 as well.

Programme

Three festival days with a wine garden, live music, local trade, and children's attractions on Marktplatz, Bürgermeister-Fiedler-Platz, and Märchenbrunnenplatz.
