Edition 2025 — Kerwa Kunreuth
In 2025, Kunreuth also celebrated its Kerwa on the first weekend of July around the Gasthaus zum Schloss. Raising of the Kerwabaum on Friday, festival marquee on Saturday, celebratory church service and Frühschoppen on Sunday, Betzenaustanzen on Monday – the classic Upper Franconian Kerwa format of the Franconian Switzerland.
The Kerwa Kunreuth 2025 stuck to the tried-and-tested program: raising of the decorated Kerwabaum on Friday evening, dance evening on Saturday, celebratory church service and Frühschoppen on Sunday, and on Monday, the Betzenaustanzen with the crowning of the Kerwa couple 2025.
As in most villages in the Franconian Switzerland, the Kerwa remained a community affair – tourists are welcome, but the festival thrives primarily on its own lads and lasses who wear their traditional costumes and keep the tradition alive.
