Overview

In 2025, the Dorfverein Bergtheim e.V. once again invited guests to the traditional tent Kerwa on the first weekend of September. Franconian carp, pole raising by the young men, a parade on Sunday, and brass music in the festival tent once again attracted visitors from the entire Würzburg district and surrounding areas.

The 2025 Kerwa in Bergtheim followed the proven tradition. Five days of festivities around the first weekend of September, with a festival tent in the village center, Franconian carp from Lower Franconian ponds, and a packed program of brass music, festival evenings, and traditional events.

The young men erected the Kerwabaum (Kerwa pole) on Saturday and led the grand parade through the village on Sunday — one of the most beautiful sights in the Franconian Kirchweih calendar. As always, the proceeds went to the village association's activities, which preserve tradition and village community through its event.
