The 10th edition of the Kenako Afrika Festival took place in June 2025 on Washingtonplatz at Berlin's main station — an anniversary after ten years. As in previous years, Afrika Medien Zentrum offered eleven days of African market, a main stage with music, dance, and theatre, as well as workshops and discussions in the Global Learning program. Free admission. The anniversary edition set the stage for the 11th edition from June 4th to 14th, 2026.

In 2025, the Kenako Afrika Festival celebrated its tenth anniversary on Washingtonplatz behind Berlin's main station. Eleven days of African culture in Berlin Mitte: around 100 market stalls with handicrafts, fashion, cosmetics, and specialties from across the continent, a main stage with concerts from Highlife to Amapiano, dance performances, and theatre productions, plus the "Global Learning" educational program with workshops, readings, film screenings, and discussion rounds.

The organizer remained Afrika Medien e. V., which with the anniversary edition confirmed its status as Berlin's most important African cultural platform. Thousands of visitors from the city, the diaspora, and the main station's tourist flow attended the festival; many program items were deliberately designed for open, low-threshold access. The 10th edition paved the way for the 11th edition from June 4th to 14th, 2026.
