Overview

The Kehl Carnival 2025 took place on the carnival weekend in early March 2025. As usual, the Night Parade on Saturday evening, the Grand Parade on Sunday afternoon. Förderverein Kehler Fastnacht e.V. coordinated the approximately 80–90 participating groups from Baden-Württemberg and Alsace. Thousands of spectators lined the route.

The 2025 edition followed the established carnival tradition of Kehl. The Swabian-Alsatian mix of groups, the cross-border atmosphere, the night and Sunday parades — everything was as usual. The tradition lives from the voluntary commitment of the clubs and cliques, who organize themselves in the Förderverein Kehler Fastnacht e.V.

Just like in 2026, many Strasbourg residents and Alsatians took the opportunity to participate in the German carnival variant via the tram across the European Bridge — a unique piece of lived European border region.
