Overview

In 2025, the Kayhude Village Festival also took place in September — as every year under the leadership of the Kayhude Volunteer Fire Brigade. A proven meeting point for residents and guests from the southern Segeberg district, with food, drinks, and socialising until late into the night.

The 2025 edition of the Kayhude Village Festival on September 20 was once again one of the fixed dates in the village calendar. The village square was transformed by the Volunteer Fire Brigade into an open festival area — a format that has proven successful for decades.

Visitors from neighbouring communities or from Hamburg found in Kayhude one of those village festivals that characterise village life in Schleswig-Holstein: unpretentious, cordial, and with a long tradition of community clubs. The youth fire brigade was also actively involved in the organisation, as usual.
