Edition 2025 — Kasseler Dokfest
The 42nd edition of the Kasseler Dokfest took place in November 2025 with the established concept: six days of international documentary cinema in Kassel, media installations (Monitoring), interfiction congress, and industry formats DokfestConnection and DokfestForum. Followed by an online extension on dok@home.
The 2025 festival once again showcased the full spectrum of international documentary film – from feature-length competition documentaries to experimental media installations. The venues were, as usual, Gloria Kino, Filmladen, and BALi Kino in Kassel's city center.
Competition films in short and feature formats, media installations, the interfiction congress, and networking formats DokfestConnection and DokfestForum formed the program. The online extension followed on dok@home.
