Overview

In 2025, the Kärwa Schwand was also celebrated on the second August weekend — four days of traditional Middle Franconian Kirchweih in the old town of the market community Schwanstetten. Parade on Friday evening, dance evenings, Kerwa-Reihen on Sunday, and a relaxed end on Monday.

The Schwander Kärwa 2025 followed the classic pattern of a Middle Franconian Kärwa: opening parade on Friday evening, beer tapping ceremony in the festival tent, dance evenings with local bands on Saturday and Sunday, a festive church service and Kerwa-Reihen on Sunday, and Kärwa Monday as a quiet conclusion.

The old town of Schwand with its parish church and old farmhouses provided the ideal backdrop for this deeply rooted tradition, as in previous years. The Kärwa is thus one of the fixed points in the festival calendar of the market community Schwanstetten and the Roth district.
