Overview

The Karpfhamer Fest 2025, held in late August and early September, once again attracted around half a million visitors to Lower Bavaria. Six days of folk festival atmosphere with the beer tapping ceremony in the Rottaler Hütte, the parallel Rottalschau, the famous Rottaler Zehnerzug, and the political Frühschoppen marked a festival week that once again underscored Karpfham's significance as the folk festival capital of Lower Bavaria.

The 2025 edition of the Karpfhamer Fest followed the established six-day rhythm: opening with the hosts' procession and beer tapping ceremony on Thursday, demonstrations of the Rottaler Zehnerzug, mare show, political Frühschoppen, festival service, and a grand riding tournament. The Rottalschau showcased innovations from the agricultural sector in its vast exhibition area and remained the most important meeting point for Lower Bavarian farmers.

The long-standing tent hosts ensured a great atmosphere in the six beer tents with daily changing music bands and live acts. As always, the grand finale fireworks display on Tuesday night provided a fitting conclusion – a moment when the entire festival grounds seemed to draw closer together.
