Overview
In June 2025, the Karlstein Energy Museum officially opened its doors to the general public for the first time. Former VAK employees presented guided tours, lectures, and the newly established ENERGY Lab in the historic Faberhaus.
The premiere of the Energy Museum Days in 2025 marked an important step in the museum's young history: for the first time, the general public could experience the Faberhaus — the former information centre of the Kahl experimental nuclear power plant — as a museum site. Former VAK employees led tours and answered questions about Germany's nuclear power history.
The response was so positive that the organisers decided to make the Energy Museum Days an annual tradition.
