Karlsruhe Carnival Parade 2025
The 2025 edition continued the tradition: around 70 groups with themed floats, dance troupes, brass bands, and walking groups paraded through Karlsruhe's city center on Shrove Tuesday. Route closures from late morning, parade start at 2:11 PM at Festplatz, ending at Marktplatz with a subsequent Kehraus.
Thousands of spectators lined the route, and Marktplatz was full long after the parade ended. The Baden mix of Rhenish and Swabian-Alemannic carnival elements once again characterized the cityscape. The family area and accessible viewing area at Marktplatz were well-received, as in previous years — a commitment to the inclusivity of major urban events.
