Overview

The 2025 Karlspreis-Bürgerfest accompanied the presentation of the 2025 Charlemagne Prize to the Romanian Foreign Minister and EU politician. Concerts, EU stands, live broadcast of the award ceremony from the Coronation Hall, and a family program marked the festival day at the Katschhof.

The 2025 edition showcased the proven format: a day program with music and EU institutions' stands, live broadcast of the award ceremony at 1 PM, and a raffle for pan-European travel prizes. Free admission, thousands of locals and visitors participated in the civic festival. The Charlemagne Prize Week has established itself as the most important Europe-related event in the NRW festival calendar.
