Käpt'n Book 2025 once again brought two weeks of children's and young adult literature to the southern Rhineland region. 26 partner municipalities, over 100 venues, readings, theatre, cinema, and music — Germany's largest reading festival for young audiences has solidified its position as a regional institution.

The 2025 edition continued the festival tradition, gathering numerous authors of German-language children's and young adult literature in the southern Rhineland once again. With 26 partner municipalities and over 100 venues, Käpt'n Book reached thousands of young readers — many in their own schools or city libraries. The events in Bergisch Gladbach (Villa Zanders, Bergisches Museum) reinforced the city's importance as an outpost of the festival.
