Overview
The 2025 Kanzfeuer in Haag was traditionally held on the last weekend of June by the Obst- und Gartenbauverein. As in previous years, the solstice fire burned on the Culmberg, preceded by the torchlight procession from the festival grounds. Hoocha Bratwurst, stick bread over an open flame, and a convivial gathering at the festival grounds were the core elements of the evening.
The 2025 edition followed the proven schedule: festival activities from 6:00 PM, torchlight procession at 9:00 PM, followed by the lighting of the fire. The catering was, as always, handled by the OGV Haag with the support of helpers from the village.
Wood deliveries were accepted on Friday and Saturday afternoons. The custom of the St. John's fire continues to be celebrated in many communities in Upper Franconia, and in Haag, it forms a firm part of village life.
