Edition 2025 — Forstfest Kamenz

In 2025, the Kamenzer Forstfest also took place traditionally during Bartholomäuswoche in August. The centuries-old festival sequence — from the opening with brass band on Friday to the parades on Sunday and Thursday, and the fireworks on Wednesday — was attended by thousands of visitors from Upper Lusatia, Berlin, and Dresden. The Schützengesellschaft Kamenz e. V. organized the festival week as it has for generations.

Forstfest 2025

The 2025 Bartholomäuswoche ran from August 22nd to 28th and followed the established festival sequence. The opening concert on Friday evening, the beer tapping ceremony on Saturday, the parades, shooting competitions, and the grand fireworks on Wednesday formed the cornerstones. For 2026, the festival starts on August 21st.
