Edition 2025 — Kirschkerwa Kalchreuth
The Kirschkirchweih 2025 attracted thousands of visitors on Sunday, July 6th, from 10 AM to 6 PM to the cherry orchards on Erlanger Straße. Fresh cherries, Kirschenmännla, cherry cake, and cherry-secco, along with information on the fruit orchard pact, a children's programme, and a nature tour at 1 PM, were on the agenda.
On July 6, 2025, the Kalchreuth Cherry Festival took place in summery weather in the cherry orchards on Erlanger Straße. Cherry farmers sold freshly picked sweet and sour cherries, as well as cherry cake, cherry ice cream, and the typical "Kirschenmännla".
At the information stand of the Middle Franconia Landscape Conservation Association and the Triesdorf tree wardens, visitors learned about the Bavarian Fruit Orchard Pact. Children spat cherry stones, climbed trees with safety ropes, and balanced on slacklines. A guided nature tour at 1 PM complemented the programme.
