Overview

The 2025 JugendKlassikFestival once again brought together young aspiring musicians from Germany and abroad in the stadt.bau.raum Gelsenkirchen. Three days of chamber music in the industrial setting of the former Oberschuir mine shaft – a festival that combines nurturing young talent with high-quality programming.

The 2025 edition followed the established three-day structure with an opening concert, a daytime program, and a closing concert. In the run-up, the young musicians attended masterclasses with established instructors. The industrial culture setting of the stadt.bau.raum once again lent a special aura to the concerts.

Programme

Three days of chamber music programming featuring string quartets, piano trios, wind ensembles, and lied duos. A mix of Classical, Romantic, and Modern repertoire. Opening and closing concerts plus several daytime performances.
